Owl Paintings in Reverse on Glass
-
Owl Paintings in Reverse Paintings on Glass are a thing I love to look at. There are enough species of ows in central New York to keep me painting for years.
Above, for instance, you will see a Great Horned Owl. The farmers who are still left around here can usually tell you they have a Screech Owl nested nearby. I can not even say how diversified the owl population is in this area.
Some of the species only migrate through, but when they do, it seems as though everyone notices. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe the Snowy owls migrate through the New York area every seven years. The las time it was spectacular!
As eerie and intimidating as their hoots might be, I would invite a few of these in my own area to cut down the mouse population. After all, they are raptors.
Native American lore suggests that it is very unlucky to hear an owl hoot. And they associated owls with death. I guess it is a good thing that only a few tribes lived in this area that I do.
If interested in purchasing any of the reverse paintings on glass that you see on this page, please feel free to leave any questions or comments in the area below, and I will get back to you as soon as I am able.
