Skiing in Central New York
Skiing in Central New York hasn’t been possible for the most part in the. last two years. When the snow was here, so was the bitter cold. and when the temperatures were right, there wasn’t enough snow.
When skiing is the one thing you look forward to doing in winter, these statements can be painful. There was a storm last night, and it continues to snow today, now that it’s already late in January, so I do have hopes of being able to go out this weekend with my husband, my sister and brother-in-law.
We ski the canal trail out of Booneville quite often, but Jeanette and Tim are ready to try something different, so we may end up on the Egypt Rd. trail on Saturday.
Rich and I have been there with the Special Olympic people a few times and are familiar with the trail. There are a lot of hills sharp turns, and all manner tests to pass up there without taking a spill. That would not be new to us either, we go for the fun and the work out,
not to mention a couple of beers and some hot wings at the local pub. Incidentally, the name of it is The Pub.
May all who read this have as good of a weekend as I hope for!
