NY State Park Paintings
I began my series of NY State Park Paintings less than a year ago, and have come to the conclusion that it may require another lifetime to finish.
In the beginning stages only of my love affair with the still wild places, there are so many state parks that I will need to visit! Closest in proximity is Pixley Falls. A small waterfall, and one of the first to have maintenance funds withdrawn from NYS government, Pixley Falls remains a favorite get-away for countless local people. On my most recent visit there were many foreigners too. I find the political aspect to be a travesty, but I also have faith that in time the situation will be resolved.
Currently in my reverse painting on glass studio work is progressing on this series of New York State Parks Paintings. In the past month, my husband and I have also visited Pixley Falls State Park and Niagara Falls. I am planning a brief visit also to Green Lake State Park. The possibility of my being busy for years to come is becoming a reality.
In addition to free shipping and handling, I will also offer a 20% discount or rebate as the case may be, for any purchases of 2 or more paintings. In the case of purchases made through PayPal, the discount will be made through PayPal. Should you wish to pay by check or money order, the discount will be figured into the total price of paintings you choose. In order to do this, all you need to do is contact me directly by leaving a message in the comments section at the bottom of the page. I check these daily, and will respond as soon as possible.. All paintings that are shipped through UPS, FedEx, or USPS will be insured for the listed value, or more of the painting. I look forward to doing business with you!
Though I am still working on my two paintings of Pixley Falls, hopefully I will be able to visit there again soon, while it is frozen. The one time I saw it in the middle of winter, it was magnificent. My NY State Park Paintings began with Watkins Glen, and six of the scenes that can be viewed there.
I hope to return to Letchworth this year, because my visit there the last time was truly enlightening. When that happens, there will be a stop at Watkins Glen as well. Chimney Bluff is another on this ever-growing list of beautiful places to go to. You will be hearing more from me on this page in the future!
